It might be the “lending” according to Kyouka, but something different according to Yuuki. Yuuki finds a katana on the floor of his spirit realm when he wakes up from his exhausting sleep. Suddenly, Kuusetsu charges at him, brandishing a feather dagger. According to Kuusetsu, who skillfully avoids harm, Yuuki has discovered a newfound freedom in his realm and now she plans to possess his soul.

In the midst of Kuusetsu’s onslaught, Yuuki grabs the katana and defends himself. Given that this is his reality, Yuuki assumes he has the right to become as powerful as he desires and approaches Kuusetsu to inquire about it.

Two small Fukuma clones appear as Kuusetsu is about to attack, telling him that he has already died and blaming him of being mischievous. As Yuuki presses for answers, Kuusetsu ignores him and instead seeks the opinion of the small Rairen, who appears on top of Yuuki’s head.

Yuuki is nearly the perfect vessel for Rairen to inhabit, a fact he unwillingly admits. Suddenly, Rairen tells Fukuma to reverse Yuuki’s metamorphosis, and the katana in her hands begins to wiggle free of his hold, revealing Fukuma as the real wielder.
