Ohio State vs Clemson will not be close, says Mark May.

Coming into the College Football Playoff the one game everyone had circled was the Buckeyes versus the Tigers.

On paper, it has everything. It is a battle between two juggernauts who went undefeated during the season, and will really test the theory that the Big Ten is vastly superior to the ACC.

The one thing everyone has more or less agreed on coming into this one is that it will be a close game.

Former ESPN college football analyst Mark May disagrees.

Speaking to David Briggs of the Toledo Blade this week, May offered his prediction for the Fiesta Bowl. It caught quite a few people off guard, as he believes Clemson is taking this one in a blowout.

According to May, the Tigers will prevail 38-7.

Will May’s faith in Clemson ultimately be justified? Or will Ohio State continue to prove critics like him wrong, much as the program has all season long?

One way or another, the answer is coming this weekend.
